When You Forgive, You Heal Yourself Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

When You Forgive, You Heal Yourself

Rating: 4.1

When you forgive
you heal yourself.

When you don't
hold fast onto your
feeling of bitterness
you heal yourself.

Let go of your ill feelings,
you will feel like the bird
flying near the rainbow.

Hi, Tony! Hope this finds you well. I recently was working on memorizing Psalm 124. It’s interesting to think of our adversaries as our own bitter thoughts. Your last two lines bring this to mind. As the psalm says, We’ve flown free of their traps... We’re free as a bird in flight. -Glen

when we do not forgive others and expose their guilt, we invite others to to expose us. Let go of your ill feelings, you will feel like the bird flying near the rainbow...... beautiful and amazing lines.

Well thought out and it conveys a beautiful message. If we fasten our hearts on helping others we will end up also making ourselves happier.
