When Truth Arrives

Excited fingers turned the page
Delighted reconciled
Again in school and at my age
I felt a little child

Still feeling as young as ever
I felt as though to fly
But failing my endeavour
I wondered how and why

There I sat in the house of God
With bible in my hand
How wonderful yet not so odd
I thought to understand

Enthralled! Shaking as if with fear
Drunk as though from wine
The Truth was so crystal clear
I felt the words were mine

As God’s Spirit came within me
As His Light began to glow
The Truth of Heaven set me free
And love’s tremendous flow

Sitting and eating living bread
Drinking as ne’er before
I witnessed that previously dead
Had come alive once more

Wanting to skip to dance and sing
Fly on wings of a dove
I felt The Wind then everything
Revolved in perfect love

In love with love as never
Through faith strong and sure
Knowing for ever and ever
I’d live to die no more
