When People Build Bombs Poem by Dorsey Baker

When People Build Bombs

When people
build bombs
everybody wants
the bigger one
the one
that can kill
everybody
and destroy
everything
under the sun
when people
build bombs
they don't think
of the cost
the dead the wounded
the innocent
blood spilled
the lives lost
they only think
of the power they hold
they become
blood thirsty
their hearts turn cold
when people
build bombs
they don't know
that nobody
can win
and that the world
we are living in
it just might
quickly
come to a end!

Perfect timing Dorsey. Today is the anniversary of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki.
