When It Comes To Law (Free Verse)



When It Comes To Law (Free Verse)

I may not be
An expert
When it comes to law
Yet I have heard
A thing or two
In defense of
El Chapo
I believe
He can not be extradited
To the U.S.A.
If he will face
A sentence greater
Than the sentence
He has been given in Mexico
Which means
If he is extradited
He can not be sentenced
Here in the U.S.A.
To a sentence
Greater than
What he has left
On his current sentence
And if he is extradited
To the U.S.A.
He may only serve
As stated earlier
What is left
On his current
Mexican sentence
And as Mexico knows
Mexico understands
It is the right
Of all prisoners in custody
To try to escape
For it is the desire
Of all those incarcerated
To be free
Furthermore
If
El Chapo is extradited
To the U.S.A.
To serve what time is left
On his sentence here
In the U.S.A.
He shall be returned
To Mexico
Where he shall be deemed
A free man
For time served
What thinks ye
