I live in a society,
which seems to be full of traditions.
Where customs are primary,
and humanity is a confused junction.
Staying with principles,
are obligatory for them.
They have unshaken rules,
which always remains same.
When it is our turn,
the rules are hard and fast.
And when is their cyclic run,
suitability measures we should cast.
In the 'to and fro' motion,
where times come both wards.
The things we have done in caution,
will return to us afterwards.
So, it's a kind request to group centered,
be polite and never harsh.
Today's situation you might have handled,
but the next will be our pass.

Yes sir.... Thanks a lot for going through it and getting into the theme of it
A nice poem about the social customs which are sometimes too harsh and obsolete to be continued such as the caste system prevailing in India, prohibition against inter-caste or inter religious marriages and so many others which restrict human freedom so as to become oppressive and deter the growth of human development. Our customs should change with time and accept the positive changes.
Yes mam... People must Learn that the customs are meant for humans but humans are not meant for customs...

A wonderful and insightful poem. This write must be read by all specially lawmakers and governing bodies in charge of implementing the rules. A kind of wake up call. Customs and traditions that have.been embedded in the rules of society mandating people to conform yet infringe freedom must be abrogated or amended. I subscribe to the wonderful comments of Poetess Bharati. A well crafted and executed write.10
Thank you so much mam...your words have really inspired me
