Life brings us to such turns
When we just cannot say
Why we find so much joy
In a certain thought or way
Why does a kiss matter
So very very much?
Why do we thrill so deeply
Why does your look or smile
Mean so very much to me?
And your arms around my shoulders
Bring such a wealth of ecstasy?
Forgive me, dear one
For this feeling of mine
For the warmth of your lips
Is as heady as wine
Forgive me for craving
The look in your eyes
And the touch of your fingers
Which wipe out all the 'Whys'
