What’s In Your House?

Is the house you live a happy one?
Is your daily song of cheer?
Is your path in life a walk of fun?
Have you learned God to fear?

Or is your house full fear and dread?
Is your song of bitter tears?
You find no peace at night in bed
For torment through the years

For years you’ve lived a life of pain
So empty, void of love
Yet full of storms of icy rain
You think no God’s above

Has plight become your middle name?
Has sorrow taken hold?
Your troubled road’s full constant shame
Instead of paved with gold

Salvation lives and wants your soul
Relief is on the wing
His mighty name can make you whole
And bring sweet joys of spring

Spring, the start of something new
The germ of life divine
Beginning with The Morning Dew
A sip of Heaven’s Wine

Let Jesus clean that house of yours
Let Jesus be your guide
Just open wide your creaking doors
Let Heaven’s oil inside

Let love create God’s presence there
Let faith and hope make whole
Let Jesus take your every care
Let peace caress your soul…
