What Really Are We? Poem by Sandra Feldman

What Really Are We?

Rating: 5.0

What are we?
Not even
Feathers in the wind,
Not even Leaves
Of shades of green
From Life giving Trees!
We are Nothing!
Trying to be
Something,
Continuously, causing harm
To others,
Collapsing, natural Beauty!
Making of destruction,
Our duty!
We should know better
By now!
But no, the blindness
And selfishness is such
That we will only stop
When, there is nothing more
To destroy,
Sooner, rather than later,
Like children do,
With their toys.

A fabulous poem! Like the feathers in the wind....we are so insignificant... yet we pretend to be something.
