What It Is Poem by Demetrius JonesDixon

What It Is

This is what it is
The mixing of individual egos

Perosnally, you are getting worse to me
'I'm confused', please

The oversimplication of your 'shock' or 'naivete'
Is what annoys me

To put it frankly
You're all purposefully ignorant

What thought provoking topic have you thought of?
How far are we from the Sun?

Whether it's the attic or the desert; how much of the Sun do we get?
All you know is 'money makes the world turn- -C.R.E.A.M.', no D.R.E.A.M.

Shaking my head and then trying to school you
Tough words fall though soft ears

What's that saying?
You can't school someone that doesn't wanna be taught?

I'm watching these people chase money
Alcohol, women, watching sports, playing video games

And watching 'Funny shows', that doesn't include cartoons, that have no substance
Wait...THAT'S what it is

You have NO substance
Hollow guy and girls

I keep the Four Core Elements close
First head-nodder was to Jay-Z

Th eone that actually pushed them forth
Not the one rapping like he only cares about the money

Y'all forgot the Matrix, Morpheus told y'all
The ones that are hopelessly ingrained into the system

Will fight for the very system that is oppressing them
Social Programming takes your entire life to rewrite

Actively using all the infinite energy to your disposal
Don't say he 'didn't tell you'l just evolve
