What Drives Poetry... Poem by RIC BASTASA

What Drives Poetry...

an old
man is driving
his car
of loneliness
in a street
named metaphor

it went well
until he meets
this simile
lady
and they kiss
and kiss and
hug and hug and

then poetry
crashes

without brakes
in that
forgotten cliff
