What Are We Doing? Poem by Jeremy Rodgers

What Are We Doing?

What are we doing, wasting our life?
or is it even our life to waste?
These are the battlegrounds, my friends
or are you even my friends?
If you have respect of persons
your not loving your neighbor as yourself...

'For whosoever shall keep the whole law,
and yet offend in one point,
he is guilty of all.'

So then, why don't we show love
why don't we teach what will help save them?
Why don't we show we are really their friends
work it out, maybe we'll help hide a multitude of sin
there's so much left to do before we die
can't you see the harvest is ripe?
So why are we wasting our life?

And wasting their life?
Who's really our friends?
