Welcome Home Poem by Ima Ryma

Welcome Home

I am Shakespeare, the fam'ly cat.
Sweet Joy is coming home from school
For Christmas at home habitat.
I'm not too festive as a rule,
But I wanted to give to Joy
A warm homecoming when she saw
First thing her fav'rite fur ball boy,
See her look at me and gush 'aww.'
So up on the mantel I went,
As Joy's homecoming did begin,
Her coming through front door event,
Into her stocking I jumped in.

Shakespeare 'to be or not be, '
The 'purr'fect stocking stuffer - me.
