We Who Keep These Realities In Our Hearts Are Not Hurt Anymore. Poem by RIC BASTASA

We Who Keep These Realities In Our Hearts Are Not Hurt Anymore.

taste buds change
times change a lot
people change as often
as the weather of the
day
changes change
change changes
we are all open doors
some arrive some leave
the door too
has a way of closing and
opening itself
sometimes the wind does it
the heat though
has its own influences
leaves fall, buds grow
cocoons simply let go
what is kept inside it
things happen
as they happen
i know all these
we all know these
and we who keep these
realities in our hearts
are not hurt
anymore.
