We Were Six Poem by Asit Kumar Sanyal

We Were Six

Rating: 5.0

Six boys we were
me and five brothers
one lost, five alive now
like to know how?
It's painful to answer
dearest one died of liver cancer
He left a sweet daughter
who works like a creative potter
now she is a teen
slim but not so lean
we opted 2nd marriage for her mother
now she staying with her stepfather.
