Only strong amongst the wind
And a flickering glow in the evening

We were like trees
Dancing in the pale moonlight
Whispering dreams under cloudy skies

We were painters
Only painted love
All along the streets of life

We were lovers
We shared wounds
And built castles on pain

And time will remember
The years we took from them
And the stars will sing Melody
For lovers just like
You and me
