We Don'T Have A Clue Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

We Don'T Have A Clue

We never know the whole story, do we, Will?
We walk about, blabbering secrets to one and all!
Heedless of consequences and careless of the damage
we do to innocent bystanders!
Even our closest friends suffer, right?

How to take back those mindless words you uttered
this morning about some guy fucking up on the job?
Never mind that he needs the paycheck, right?
You know better! You just had to tell the truth!
Hypocrite and serpent, you lick the boss's boots
so he'll overlook your human frailities!

We're all conniving bastards as your plays portray
us in all our human condition of weakness and error!

Will Shakespeare, I salute you!
