We Didn't Miss A Beat Poem by Ray Hansell

We Didn't Miss A Beat

I saw her again yesterday
It seemed like an eternity
The last time I saw her
She had shared a day with me

We picked up where we left off
We didn't miss a beat
I always enjoyed being with her
Every single time we'd meet

Her smiling face
Her sparkling eyes
They always made me
Come alive

Just there talking
Talking with her
Remembering the way
That we once were

Sharing days together
Always meant so much to me
She was so very special
I know she'll always be

But the time was fast approaching
For this reunion to end
We said goodbye with a hug
Both knowing, we'd always have a friend
