We Are But Travelers Poem by norman hale

We Are But Travelers

We Are But Travelers

We are but travelers
Oh Lord this is true
We pray for guidance
On our way back to You

We are but travelers
Across this weary land
As we work our way
Over to Your Promise land

We are but travelers
In search of Your love
To pass it among others
Until we reach Your Kingdom above

We are but travelers
We are Your very sheep
We can only pray dear Lord
That our souls You'll keep

We are but travelers
Across this troubled land
We must keep trying Lord
Until we're wrapped in Your hands
