We Are All Fingers On God's Hands Poem by Ali Rahimi

We Are All Fingers On God's Hands

We are all fingers on God's hands,
Veins in God's heart,
We are all eyelashes on God's eyes,
We are all God's brain cells,
His doors of perception,
Windows of inspiration,
His avenues of knowledge and self- actualization,
God speaks through our lips,
Listens through our ears,
We are all God's arms of justice,
We are not his Achilles heels,
We are not a thorn his side,
We are not a pain in his neck,
We are not a burden on his shoulder,
We are all fingers on God's hands,
We are all fingers on God's hands,
We are all fingers on God's hands,
We are all fingers on God's hands,
Jews, Muslims, Christians, Zoroastrians, Buddhists, , ,
We are all God incarnates,
God's ambassadors for love and peace,
BUT, what do they treat us like a property,
Purchase us like a cheap commodity?
Sell us like a dispensable land and territory?
Divest us of all our humanity,
Bereft of all our individuality,
Deprived of every right and liberty,
Under tough orders and strict authority,
Legal legislative control and sovereignty,
They treat us as if we are washing machines,
Screw drivers, water melons, nails or shovels,
Like tools, gadgets, instruments,
They shape use, mold us, bend us,
Stuff us with lies, tricks, illusions and fraud,
Don't we have consciousness?
Don't we possess deep awareness?
Don't we own massive intellectual competency?
Don't we show tremendous emotional capacity?
We are all fingers on God's hands,
Unite, Unite, Unite, Unite, Unite
We are all fingers on God's hands
