Way Home On A Train Poem by Dwitun Basumatary

Way Home On A Train

As the evening sets the sun its day
The orange glided down the western bay.
Exact rewind of Tiger Hills Sunrise
And what wine can rival its mesmerize!

Irons clang and collide; long world so wide!
The rush lures to trip next world's unseen side-
If unwiped tears are left alone to dry
As homeless phoenix burns without a cry.

A bat steeps moonward to dine in the sky
Like a vamp fluttering its starhigh pie
Wanna get lost forever from all folds? eyed
Sages tell of many quiet waterfalls!

In the passing glance all plants seemed dyed black;
White cranes too black from it's colour of flake.
Rail tracks glished silver like night seafarers,
And watery paddy fields; like snow mirrors.

Popcorn! popcorn! shouted a man near me
Like dancing Oppon Gangnam Style moved he.
And as is the edge of oasis in sands-
Its in the lake that every highway ends.

Station looked postmodern solar system.
Darkness fell; and maketh drop this anthem.
More drinks are lifted in sadness than joy.
Long train rides sure soothes you senor sans loy.
