Wasted Years Poem by Nwagboso Kosisochukwu

Wasted Years

Dare take walk on my long past years
And soil ‘ur hand with my pain filled tears
Cos down there lies my fears
In the catalogue of aborted ideas

Down there
I mean down there
Down there lies my wishes
In that deep lies my riches
There lies my would-have-beings
But there also in the bins
I dumped my rags

Too blind I've been
To see through that darkness
Neither have I enough strength
To search through that debris
But my mind sweeps over it
Lest I tell a second tale
Now I'm on the marks
With my eyes on the tracks

Thus free
To live a PERPETUAL CELESTIAL life
