Wasted Liberation Poem by Wild Child

Wasted Liberation

Everyday a wasted life
going no where, no path in sight
a Broken heart, a restless soul
each moment i feel i'm growing old
We take a trip to escape reality
but come crashing back down to our knees
in the end should i accept the truth?
a lonely life with no one to turn to
Shut my eyes and rest my head
escape reality again alone in bed
wake up with pain in heart
another day begins, all over it starts
Always wanting what we cant have
greed and a stubborn heart drives us mad

With time the truth shows up
like rain washes away the scum
wash your eyes and your heart
maybe there's another path we can start

So shut your eyes and take a drag
inhale liberation, and don't look back
created in the mind, illusion of pain
numb it away and let it rain
shut your eyes and feel the rain
God's hands embrace your skin
feel His kiss and let it rain
its purple rain when my eyes are shut
its purple rain when my mind is shut
shut to this world, open to the next
i take a drag, slowly I'm all set

I take a carpet ride, once again a child
a world of bigots, eyes open yet shut
I take a carpet ride, once again alive
a world of pigs, a world they set-up

So take a ride and dont look back
let it last as long as it can
four hours from now they'll all be back
trying their best to tear you apart
your mind in a coma, you can fly away
fly away to a better place
innocence of a child, forget the hate
