Wastebasket Brother Poem by Shel Silverstein

shel silverstien is very clever, and funny, his poems are great for all children!

i think the person that puts the little kid in the basket is getting revenge on that person becuase maybe that person did somthing mean to the person that is putting a kid in the basket

It seems like a strong note of satire is built upon through the veins of the poem.

But someone, I ain't sayin' who, Has got a guilty face, Ashamed for lettin' such a lovely brother Go to waste. fun with a stinge of truth. tony

Not one of his better ones to be honest, but sometimes everyone has an off-day.

Not very impressive to me.

This could work for older brothers, too.
