Warring States Reunion Poem by Mason Maestro

Warring States Reunion

Seven states on the road to ruin
Just a perfect scheme with a grand execution
Pleasing new union for a final restitution
Middle Kingdom beckons a Joyful Reunion

You squeezed your world in the palm of your hand
But when it lay in pieces
The vassals took a stand

Don't play dumb and don't ask why
Hope was hopeless and its end was nigh
Hung up to dry at the side of the Zhou
Hereditary fiefs, where did it go?
Four corners of the kingdom, though it's slow

Through the battle and confusion
Was a powerful Qin infusion
There's no clear path diffusion
For a Joyful Reunion

Battles ensue wide and far
Rise and unify is Huang Di's art
Attempts to maim and cut it down
Shake, break, mutilate and grind it to the ground
Warriors stand again but made of clay
By first rain it's just the same

They raise the institutions
Make all new resolutions
Rebuild an imperial constitution
For that Joyful State Reunion
