Wand'Ring Poem by David N. Degnan

Wand'Ring

Rating: 5.0

With a troubled mind, I wander
the streets aimlessly,
Through my void,
I float along lazily.

I look to find
My own bit of peace.
With the road behind, the road in front,
I follow none but the breeze.

Now, give me a reason,
A purpose for my being,
Here I am, in this world,
But I'm Just barely breathing...

If ever comes a day
Where thou doth need me,
Simply call my name.
For if you're true,
I'm forever with thee...

Ah my lovely son, if you only knew what I know in my heart to be true.... you are more valuable than you think or give yourself credit for, and I hope that this beautifully written poem is not a reflection of what you really feel, but rather, what I know to be your influences I see imbued in your writes... you have the power within to make great things happen, and therefore, your self worth will never be found within another person. You will always meet the people you need to at different points in your life, true... but even the most significant can only enhance what you already are. My love to you always.
