Wallowed Spark Poem by A.Z. McCoy

Wallowed Spark

The nights whisper hazed melodrama
A plucked string
Bereft of flora and fauna
Mind plotted in coordinate dirge twang
Mathematically spelled out on repeat

Could a spark ever trace Apollo's
shadow,
crushed gypsum with these DOAs
Rumble with trees fallen, fields soon
Fallow,
bless a flame's gaze
Unknown-recognized slash-and-burn
the city forest blaze,
backwards, aghast, where's the revelry
in the symphonic showdown

The walls I tore down
to see your divided face
Blown breezes, like sound
Child's carousel underwater
This darkside appetite satiates
Blakean ghost rumpled on two wafers

An ember grazed on
A harmony's forest
Solipsistic dais to be born
A sproutling tilled in the urban crowd
Each elevator takes phase
When the moon rises,
You sing and drop twenty floors

Below tornado-ripped, snow heaven cascade
Stark white under shadow,
Of earth and golden doors
When it happens, wine
flows down corridor's mystery
Trachea-to-cornea adorned,
Rapt and spellbound in fruiting vine
But where's your bittersweet flavor pulp.
