Walking The Dogs Poem by David Boyce

Walking The Dogs

Walking the dogs

Many times we'd take the dogs out,
For their daily walk.
We'd go out for a wonder,
On the way we'd have a talk.

The dogs ran round so happily
Sometimes they'd even clash
They'd run around like idiots
In the big field and long grass.

I remember like its yesterday
As if a big long dream
On the way home we'd stop for five
So the dogs drank at the stream.

The memories of yesteryear
When I was but a child
When we had a laugh and a joke
With the dogs just running wild.
