Walking In The Middle Of The Night Poem by Daisy Pereira

Walking In The Middle Of The Night

Walking in the middle of the night
the silent moon watching
stars smiling
vast silver corridors of
night sky lay open
clouds drifting slowly
heart pounding
you walk and walk
round and round
in the perfect middle of the night
there is none to see you
watch you
your elegance
the way you flow
the smoothness
the way you bear yourself
no, nothing, none,
just the serene moon

silver dripping night
slow rains
the glowing threads
hear echoes just one sound

round and round
through the silvery night
you walked and walked
in the middle of the night..

people are sleeping
in the adjacent buildings
you alone walk
as if you are gone mad
with just one name
you cant dream
nor can sleep
or lie down
your heart pumps too hard
for you stand still or think
bewitched moon
silent night
people sleeping in their happy homes
you alone wander
mad with one word
alone and alone
silent in the night
round and round
you go like a mad moon..
