Walking Away Poem by Anne Lacy

Walking Away

What is a day,
Without you grasping it
And being all you can be
That is what you say
But I really don’t care
I am standing while my world falls in
What is the point of being so tall,
If all I can do is stand while it falls?
Give me a reason
And maybe I’ll listen
But if all you say
Does nothing for my emptiness,
Then all I can do is walk away
From my world that is falling in
While you keep on droning on,
As to what I am doing wrong
