Waking To Sunrise Watching The Sunset Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Waking To Sunrise Watching The Sunset

Rating: 4.9

I want only
To see the light
Of morning sun
So breathtaking

I want only
Hear robin
Sing me a song
Of the bird's life

I want only
To touch such life
As was once His
To spread One Word

I want only
To taste this life
The bittersweet
With the so sweet

I now only want
To not die alone
Waking to sunrise
Watching the sunset

This poem touches all senses of life; including faith. Rises and sets are beautiful, shouldn't be lonesome. Great poem, Richard

The recurring lines make this poem more powerful and beautiful. A very encompassing write that focuses on life, beauty of nature, wonders of existence and faith in God.
