The sun rises as I look at you looking at me
Your beauty calms my soul and sets me free
I pull you close hold you really tight
Just as we did all through the night
The feel of your skin the taste of your lips
As we lay together hip to hip
My life is perfect with you be my side
My secrets in you I can confide
Then it happens it just slips away
I dont want you to leave, no I want you to stay
Yet no matter how hard I try to stay asleep
I can't ignore that infernal beep
I wake up I already miss you
My heart wonders what to do
I then sit down and let my heart have it's way
Write you a poem of what my heart wants to say
Then I smile thinking of my dream last night
Waiting for the day I can hold you close and tight
