You told me you would wait on the other side
But my love the path is so very wide
My time to leave has not yet come
For I have some work yet to be done

But wait for me my love
For I will meet you in heaven above
Our time on earth was cut to short
So many problems so much to sort

So many tasks God has left for me to do
I feel so alone because I am without you
The joy I felt was so long ago
Now I don’t know which way to go

But knowing that you will be up there
When I leave from earth here
This will be such a joyous time
Because once again you will be mine

Our love will be reborn
And my heart will no longer be torn
So God has told me that I need to trust you
Because you have always known what to do

You have always known which way to go
That is why I depended on you so
So my beloved, wait for me for a while
And I will walk that extra mile
