Waiting Poem by alonge oluwabukolami

Waiting

We've waited so long for a voice from Jerusalem Voices came from Egypt and Babylon followed by great Lamentation from Ramah
Alas! she could not comfort them

Waiting for the day the bitter-kola will taste sweet
before our very eyes the sweet orange has turned sour
longing for the day my crippled adult
will walk
we saw a day old babe talk
Waiting and Still Waiting
