Wait On The Lord

Wait; on The Lord in the morning
Listen; throughout the day
Accept; each point and warning
The Father has to say

Each morning, breaks best with praying
With praise, rising on high
Deciphering thoughts and weighing
While still in bed we lie

Eternity’s here and waiting
Important, is one’s soul
While Satan’s anticipating
Heaven won’t make us whole

God’s Spirit always is around
In some, He comes to dwell
To help us climb to higher ground
Escaping death and hell

If He’s not in you, He wants to
To guide your soul from plight
Life’s Counsellor deep inside you
With oil He’ll shed His Light

Salvation comes to children shy
All persons weak or strong
To raise our precious soul on high
To sing life’s victory song

Consider when daylight’s leaving
When darkness nears outside
When devils roam deceiving
Where wisdom fails to guide

Converse again, at eventide
Forgetting not to pray
With Jesus Christ to reside
In Love’s eternal day…..
