As the blood drips down the walls
I can hear their calls,
Hear their screaming,
Hear them pleading.
As the water washes through my hair
These thoughts I cannot bear
These dreams of dismay
Must all be kept at bay,
It’s all in my head
As I lie safe in bed,
There is no screaming,
No pleading,
No one’s dying
No one’s crying
No one’s there,
For me to hear
If I just ignore it all,
There will be no more
Screaming, crying,
Pleading, dying
Everything will be silent,
No speak of violence,
Everything will be at peace,
And my worries will cease.
