Voices In My Head. Poem by Alistair Plint

Voices In My Head.

Of angels & demons
in dungeons
& Eden
Voices retort loudly
in mental gymnastics
Holograms
& hallucinations
bound tightly
in leather straps
& anchored chains

-x-

Memories of trolls
& dragons
jailed
in respect
Valued &
adored

-x-

Choruses
reverberate
& echo
through stone walls
of halls in
old churches
I taste her words
Stand up to applaud
as the final baritone
resounds
"& they'll never
know us~
ever at all."
