Viable Poem by Raj Dronamraju

Viable

Would you live with me?
Join the committee to wipe out isolation
Consider it part of a major struggle
A bold stand and an example to others

At some point, I lost my humanity
Could you bring it with you when you come to stay?
We can keep it in the cupboard
Bring it out on weekends when friends come over

Share these meaningless four walls with me
Fill them with the first blush of life
Like a young person's cheeks upon meeting their school crush
Shared existence out of this dead space

You can have the first three drawers in the bureau
And most of the closet space
See the sloppiness and I await your dressing down
I await the order imposed by the discipline of the heart
