Veterans As Well Poem by Ima Ryma

The U.S. history is filled
With veterans of peace and war.
So much of service life has spilled,
Called to duty for time and more.
Humans have used technology
To wield super power worldwide.
But ever through this destiny,
Best friends of humans stayed beside.
Canines have soldiered through it all,
Have done what humans could not do,
Sharpened sense to the nation's call -
Sacrifice for red, white and blue.

Dog tags worn loyal in service done,
We thank you each dog veteran.
