Veiled Writer - Inspired By Archer By Dillip K Swain

Rating: 5.0

Enemy
Amongst us
No bow and
No arrow
Deadlier
Mightier
Than damn sword
The pen is
His weapon
Of first choice
He strikes heart
Buries soul

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It hurts deeply when others defame Dillip, Susan and other very talented and supportive PH poets. This poem is my response to the perpetrators.

If one does not like a writers style - do not read it. If there are suggestions on improving a poem do not degrade the writer. Yet, there are some people who derive pleasure in hurting or demeaning others. Thanks for posting this piece. A 10.

What goes around, comes around. It's so much more productive, and energetic, to put out positive feedback. Thank you, Carl for your positive suggestions.

Good for you, Richard, to defend in strong emphatic words the integrity of poets who have been - what is the word: traduced, belittled, marginalized, humiliated - by fellow poets (!) What a betrayal. Your closing two lines - He strikes heart / Buries soul - is the consequence of such an attack on a fellow poet's SACRED IMAGINATION.

Many poets have died fighting for their Sacred Imagination. Daniel, I love your choice of these two words.
