Vanished Paradise Poem by Stella Aurora Sarchez Gerodias

Vanished Paradise

This old hometown of mine,
Once was a beautiful place;
Created by power divine,
Everything wrapped in a blaze.

Trees swayed in perfect grace,
As wind gloriously blew;
Flowers' scent nodded gaily,
Petals filled with morning dew

The sun shone so brightly,
Through the rush of day;
The skies were blue as the seas,
With depths of heavens dewy and free.

The air was pleasant and fresh,
That when people took a breath
It used to give power and strength
To all creatures of the earth.

But look how we disregarded them!
They are nowhere to be found in place;
Everything were used to be in perfect bliss,
Now the heavens shed their tears.

Blue clouds turned to gray,
As the seas turned astray;
No place of shelter i can find,
Now languid and hopeless I must die!

This place once was a paradise,
But now nothing but a graveyard;
We should have loved our nature,
Love is the lesson that God has nurtured.
