Value Of Life Poem by Juan Carrasquillo Jr

Well its been 12 years,
cant hold back my tears,
cant forget about the day you were gone.

You used to say, that one day,
the lord will lead me to the right direction,
always give others your love and affection,
if it was meant to be,
it shall be your destiny.

And now you're in god's hands,
and I've tried to stand like a man,
but I cant help but miss,
all the moments we used to share yea.

And I know you're always watching over me,
good spirits surround me,
I know the lord is on my side.

And so I make this promise,
that I'll make you proud,
for you have taught me the value of life.

In loving memory of all my family members and friends that passed away in the past 12 years. I love you all.
