Vacuum Cleaning Poem by Rehan Hyder

Vacuum Cleaning

Rating: 2.9

C'mon let's place
the sun and mountains
where they belong
let's do some simple housekeeping
let's get away
from these Augean stables
we never started the fire
writings mine have never been “Helen of Troy”
......something to die for; and you….
You never had patience for clutter of love
So come let's take a ride on vacuum cleaner
come let's vacuum our vacuums
come let's be strangers again.....
and talk

a beautiful visual metaphor: ''C'mon let's place the sun and mountains where they belong '' suggesting the immensity of thoughts... and cognitive metaphor; ''come let's vacuum our vacuums come let's be strangers again'' suggesting the emptiness of feelings and the reason for the imminence of separation... a symbolical poem....in which thoughts remove the feelings from soul and have the necessary strength to do this....10++
