you and I linked in a way
Dare I, for a life to stay
Heard of tales from far away
Way some men like to play

To the detractors I say
I can put forth a nay
Persistent are they
I bask in the dawning day

It was love in the first instance
Goes far beyond just romance
His looks of love not askance
Honest and worthy stance

Beyond friendship its rank
really it isn’t just a prank
I know I can bank
So forthright and frank

When bumped at our school gate
The time, when I was getting late
Say they it’s a bait
No, he’s my soul mate

Above what I've ever had before
Oh he’s the stuff of lore
His eyes look so pure
Oh I’m in love ill endure

Can’t explain, i feel it in me
Music to ears when he says we
Deep in my soul a raging sea
The swirling water laps at my knee
