Untitled (Part 2) Poem by Lissa Parks

Untitled (Part 2)

The Woods

So now, I'm walking in the
woods,
Away from the evil spirit back
in the cemetery.
It won't follow me (or at least
as far as I know) .
So as you know, my house is just
over the woods.
As I was walking, I seen this
big huge shadow andthis other shadow
from the cemetery.
Oh great, I said to myself. It
followed me and it's going to keep
following me to my house.
But anyways, this big huge thing
wasn't like the evil spirit.
This thing was a huge, hairy looking
creature like a werewolf,
but it wasn't.
And it wasn't a
vampire, because vampires aren't
hairy.
This creature had no eyeballs,
it had horns sticking out of its
head.
Was on its two legs, the mouth
was big and had teeth and this yucky
green drool from its mouth.
I just stood there looking at
the thing, not knowing what to do.
Either run away from it, or just let
it eat me up.
I felt like I was gonna pee my
pants.
Then my brain set in and I started
to run,
And the big ugly creature was running
after me, with its big mouth, hanging
open.
So I ran and ran further, deeper
into the woods.
Soon I seen the path to my house,
from where I was
standing.
So I walked down to the path
to my house slowly.
As I reached my house, I seen
the bushes move.
Scared as hell, shaking all over,
I stood close to my house and
watched to see what was going
to jump out of the bushes.
As I stood there, the door opened
and my parents came out.
At first they looked normal, but
as I got closer to them, I started
to scream.
They weren't my parents at all,
they were like a zombie well, part
zombie and part ghost.
I started to yell, "Where's my parents?
The old man looked at me with
this dead look in his eyes.
But he couldn't have, because he
didn't have any eyes.
Then he said "Follow me to the back."
I looked at him thinking that
he was going to kill me.
I told him no.
He looked very angry at first then he said, " Why don't you come into the house?
i said no, where's my parents. Then the old lady came out onto the porch and tried to get me into the
house with some treats.
Again I said no.
Then the big creature came out
behind me and jumped over me
and went to the porch and eat...
the little old man and his wife.
