Untitled (Jan 16th,2003) Poem by Nicholas McDonough

Untitled (Jan 16th,2003)

Listen to the wind and tell me what you here
then listen to the darkness oh what it can tell
Only if you listen will you know the truth of me
How is it I have these memories shared by some
yet others refuse to think I am who I remember myself to be
These memories are my own and have been solely my own until recently
Unless I have been toyed with and my words spoken and memories gone through with others who may be playing with
my head
I nolonger care because I know my memories are my own
Nothing can take them away from me
So anyone can think they have toyed with me or let me astray
but I hold them in my mind as if it all happened yesterday
The pain, the love, the hate, the learning of lessons taught
Shared time with people important to me
Shared moments that will always be important to me
Things that remain within me after all this time
Some sad, some happy, I will never forget what I have been through and where things have taken me
or all the times shared with the one who all once said together with me made an unstoppable team
We shared many things and I learned alot but things didn't work out as I had wished they would
I do not care if it can't be seen by some and don't care if others played along with my memories because they remain a part of me and I cherish them dearly
That will never change
