Unnamed N.1 Poem by Marco Bo

Unnamed N.1

saying about love and walking on mud
singing and writing about the beauty and the beast

exposing the naked feelings
or hiding them under a veil of memories and dreams

one step forward and two steps back
digging our hands into the ground
to which we belong
since as far as we know our destiny is all included
in that fraction of space and time
being born
raising our heads
breathing sunrise and sunset
and then sinking again among the clods of the fields

but those who are born between asphalt and concrete
how will they recognize the perfume
the smell of the dust
the cycle of the moon
sowing and harvesting
the cycle of the seasons
the sun
a drop of sweat running down the face

how would they know
those who are born between asphalt and concrete and under these air conditioning skies?

saying about love and walking on mud
singing and writing about the beauty and the beast

exposing the naked feelings
or hiding them under the veil of memories and dreams

one step forward and two steps back

who knows
who knows
if someone will use these words

who knows
