University Days In Boko Haram Zone Poem by Haruna Garba

University Days In Boko Haram Zone

Rating: 5.0

To stuff the brain,
Nearly busted my ears were
To hear the blowups,
Nearly busted veins i had had
To find safe havens,
Broken the legs had tended to be
To think of a year more,
I very nearly did call it really quit
To have the ticket got,
Certainly i had risked my good skin
To see I survived it,
I laud that very special grace of God

Surving the university days in a harsh and troubled zone. Not easy at all.
