Unabashed Politicians Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Unabashed Politicians

Unabashed Hindutwas rule the nation.
They fabricate EVMs and download cash into polls and better the results.
They are hand in glove with the rich
and pass the years without a hitch. They dare to ignore the struggles
Of farmers, wrestlers and the learned.
They stick to their seats of power
and their stained hands don't hesitate
to hold the sceptre, a symbol
of honesty and fair deliverance
of justice by the Tamil Kings of yore.
They induct indited felons in the party
scare the people and abet the crimes
in the eye of law and the courts.

The Olympian wrestlers agitate
against the sexual abuse by a criminal
an elected man to the parliament
and like to throw the medals they won
into the perennial river, Ganges.
But the rulers in Delhi don't care
and defy the girl -athletes to show
audio and video clips of dirt.
God alone can dethrone them
and save India from these wild beasts
