Two Stars Poem by Kurt Hearth

Two Stars

Rating: 5.0

Passing through night’s dark skies,
two stars crossed paths.
Each blazing flare,
gave hint to destined goal.

Briefly two courses merged,
as though communicating.
The elder star’s task complete.
The other, long life, lie ahead.

The tail of one began to dim,
hinting at growing old.
Soon, disappeared from sight.
Lost, midst star clustered canopy,

The fledgling burning brightly,
sailed along on course.
Time was drawing near,
its date with destiny to keep.

Two stars crossed paths

One a tired soul,
reaching for the heavens.
Another sought the earth,
to kindle life anew.
