Two Spirits Poem by James Ephraim McGirt

Two Spirits

Two spirits are warring in my breast,
Each for the sway;
And each of me has made request—
Which to obey?

Obey the one that seems divine
It came from heav'n.
The other from this heart of mine
Must now be driv'n.
